The history of the company began in 1958 when Kjell Dahlberg, captain of a Swedish yacht, sailed from Stockholm to San Remo by sailboat and on the way the boat broke down, having to make a stopover in Palma for repairs. He had to stay on the island for a year where he would meet his future wife, the Majorcan Rosa Coll. After some time in Sweden, the couple settled permanently in Majorca where they started a family and created their own company.

Thus, a pioneering company in the repair and maintenance of yachts in Majorca was born, whose workshop was initially located in the center of Palma. In 1980, his first daughter, Margarita, joined the company, after training in England at the factory of the prestigious firm B&G, becoming the first woman to obtain the company's Official Technical Service certificate.

In 1984, Dahlberg was established and its activity focused on the repair and installation of B&G brand electronic equipment. In 1989, when the youngest daughter Rosa joined the company, the company was divided into two large areas: on the one hand, the electronic division and on the other, the sanitation division. Later, the company also specialised in onboard comfort and safety at sea.

An important turning point in Dahlberg's history was the achievement of ISO 9001 accreditation for all its departments in 2003, making it one of the first companies in the sector to do so. This accreditation made it possible to standardise work protocols and gain in efficiency, working even today in accordance with the standards set at the time.

In 2006 the company moved its headquarters to the Son Rossinyol Business Park. The company employed 17 workers and supplied almost all of the shipyards in Spain.

Currently, the third generation is joining the company, learning and contributing to the constant improvement of the service offered to its clients.

The extensive knowledge and intense experience of Margarita Dahlberg, current executive director and CEO of Dahlberg, led her to chair the Association of Nautical Companies of the Balearic Islands (AENIB) from 1999 to 2017, an entity that brings together companies in the nautical sector of the Balearic Islands. Today, she continues to be part of the Board of Directors. In addition, Margarita is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Balearic Marine Cluster, a business initiative created to position the Balearic Islands as a hub for the nautical industry and strengthen its international competitive position.
