How to best sell and repair toilet and sewage systems?” An initiative to learn and share experiences.
This post is to tell you about an initiative that we have carried out at Dahlberg SA and from which we have gained many positive things. The organisation of the course to improve sales and repair techniques for marine sanitation
The course is aimed at a profile of professionals in the nautical sector who are dedicated to marketing, repairing, installing and maintaining the toilet and sewage systems of boats.
First of all, we would like to thank all the participants who have made the success of the event possible. And we allow ourselves to speak of success because during the day of March 7, twenty professionals specialized in marine sanitation met at our Dahlberg SA facilities located in the Son Rossinyol industrial estate in Palma de Mallorca.
We believe that the experience was very positive as there was a lot of participation and dynamism and the problems that technicians usually encounter with this type of sanitary equipment on ships were exposed.
Our goal at Dahlberg SA was to provide course participants with the tools they needed to expand their existing knowledge of the new generation of marine toilets, the repair and installation of Vacuflush vacuum toilet systems, electric toilets and holding tanks.
The course began with the presentation of the new products on the market, and then the technical and practical part was carried out.
To briefly summarize the day, we would like to highlight that attendees received the necessary guidelines regarding hygiene and safety protection for operators and a series of maintenance tips to avoid problems such as blockages or bad smells.
They also identified which types of toilets are best for each type of boat and what material septic tanks should be made of so they do not cause any inconvenience.
Other topics were also discussed, such as the correct design of a sanitation installation and the recommendation to install “problem-solving” accessories to avoid scares and setbacks.
There was also a practical part to know how to act when a problem appears and find the most effective way to fix it.
Finally, the participants received practical advice necessary for the installation of a sanitation hose (hose heater) and the testing of a vacuum system with a vacuum gauge.
