NAVICO revolutionizes the concept of how to interact with navigation and leisure equipment installed on board.

GoFree is NAVICO's new wireless technology that will be available on the market starting in mid-2012.

Dahlberg SA , with more than 45 years of experience in the sector, supplies, repairs and advises on NAVICO products (Lowrance, Simrad and B&G) in Mallorca / Spain.

There are three technical keys to this new evolution within nautical electronics:

  • An open broadcast with which you can INTERACT through a Smartphone or tablet device and download the necessary applications for its proper use.
  • Individual WiFi will be eliminated for each electronic equipment, controlling the entire boat installation through ONE WIRELESS DEVICE.
  • It offers a cost reduction to boat owners, avoiding the high cost of individualized WiFi integration per device and offering CHEAP and FLEXIBLE technology.

The development of this new equipment will allow the use of 3G technology and thus be able to remotely control the boat's electronic system. It will allow the data of all the equipment integrated in the navigation system to be managed remotely and in a single device, which until now has been individualized in the plotters and fixed repeaters installed on the boat. It integrates into the NMEA 2000 network of Lowance, Simrad and B&G multifunction equipment and repeaters. The brand's current customers will be able to incorporate this new technology into their equipment through their current Ethernet connections.

Security is a fact of vital importance and will be developed through restricted access and system protection mechanisms, ensuring that it can only be entered through the use of a user and an access code linked to the equipment.

Gofree allows the customer to access a multi-level collaboration network for control, security and experience in the use of equipment.

The conclusion is resounding: Gofree provides greater control, greater comfort and cost savings.
