Dahlberg pays tribute to his roots on Saint Lucia's Day
For another year, and now 49, Dahlberg has celebrated, as it does every December 13, the feast of Saint Lucia, a date marked on the Swedish festive calendar that the company, founded by Kjell Dahlberg, commemorates every year since 1974.

The Feast of St. Lucia is a deep-rooted tradition in Swedish culture, which celebrates the day of this saint, known as 'the one who brings light', every December 13, coinciding with the darkest days of the year. It also serves as the start of the Christmas holidays. Kjell Dahlberg introduced this tradition to the nautical company he founded in Mallorca almost half a century ago. Since then, every year on December 13, Dahlberg organizes a breakfast for his employees and friends with typical Swedish products of this time, such as 'glögg', a popular and comforting mulled wine, or ' kanelbullar ', cinnamon buns that Margarita Dahlberg makes with her own hands, following the family recipe that her grandmother taught her. The company also buys the delicious 'pepparkakor' gingerbread cookies from the Swedish Church for the occasion.
As per tradition, Dahlberg's friends, customers and collaborators are invited to visit the company's facilities throughout the day to celebrate Saint Lucia and try these typical delicacies.

“It is a tradition that we carry out every year, without fail. Initially, this celebration was a tribute from my father to his homeland and his roots. Over time, especially after his death, it has taken on even greater significance, as it has become a recognition of the company's origins,” says Margarita Dahlberg, who anticipates that “next year's St. Lucia's Day will be even more special, as Dahlberg will celebrate its 50th anniversary.”
The entire Dahlberg team would like to take advantage of this celebration to welcome the Christmas season and wholeheartedly wish its customers, collaborators, suppliers and friends a Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year.
