What is important to check if the blackwater tank has been overfilled?
It may have happened to us at some point that the black water tank has been accidentally overfilled.
If we overlook some points to review, it can cost us dearly. It's no joke!
Let's review the following installation points:
- Tank connection joints,
- Vent hose
- Ventilation filter
- Level sensors
- Extraction hose to deck inlet
We at Dahlberg think that the following breakdowns may be of interest:
SYMPTOM | PROBLEM | SOLUTION |
Tank leaks through any joint, | Dirt and bad smells | Empty the tank, fill it with water from the deck inlet, add a product to clean and disinfect it. |
Clogged vent hose and connection | The discharge pump overheats and cannot pump out the waste and empty the tank | Disconnect the vent hose. Clean the tank outlet connection and hose. |
The ventilation filter has become wet or filled with dirt | The activated carbon in the filter has become wet and bad odors from the tank pass through it. | Replace the filter |
Dirty fill level sensors | They do not indicate level | Remove the sensors from the tank and clean them thoroughly, using a product containing descaling agent. |
