Chapter I: The history of DAHLBERG SA with B&G
The story of DAHLBERG SA is closely linked to B&G .
Kjell Dahlberg founder of the company and technical service of B&G since 1972 , he maintained a friendly relationship with Mr. Arthur Gale, director of the technical department. This friendship allowed 1979 Margarita Dahlberg completed training as an intern in the technical department of B&G.
There, and during his internship, he participated in service at regattas and during the Cowe Week of the 1979 (we remember this regatta and the dates due to the unfortunate tragedy of the Fasnet Race of the Royal Ocean Racing Club) was presented to the founder of B&G, Major Gatehouse.
In that year, the first prototypes of the Hercules 190 They were in their testing phase and Margarita declares:
“It was a very exciting moment for me, seeing from the inside the development process with the designers, how the system collected the information, processed it and distributed it to the different multifunctional displays. “It was a very new technology and concept.”
Its technical knowledge, the know-how acquired at B&G, gave DAHLBERG a competitive advantage by obtaining in 1980 one of the exclusive certificates of B&G official technical service . And it must be said that Margarita Dahlberg was the first woman to obtain it. In 1984 The company became the official B&G distributor for all of Spain until 1991 . In 1998 He won the “BUSSINES GROWTH” award and on the 50th anniversary of B&G ( 2006 ) he obtained a special recognition for 3 decades of support for B&G.
