Dahlberg reinforces its Navigation and Radio Communication Electronics Technical Department

About to celebrate our 40th anniversary next year, our firm has specialized for years in the areas of sanitation, rescue and electronics. In this last department we have incorporated a team of technicians and engineers to update and adapt to the technological evolution that the sector is experiencing.

It is now a reality. At Dahlberg we have carried out a renewal process of the Technical Electronics Department , with the recent incorporation of four professionals who bring their freshness, motivation, enthusiasm and familiarity with the latest technological developments. This is combined with the know-how, technical knowledge and experience accumulated over the years by Toni Lopera, director of the Department.

With this commitment, Dahlberg has been investing since May in the training of these promising professionals at a time when electronics, in constant technological evolution, has become a totally transversal field based on interconnection, with more and more devices, screens, leisure elements and home automation services, beyond pure navigation electronics.

Furthermore, the field of cybersecurity also has a huge potential in the immediate future and Dahlberg, after receiving specific training, is working on the application of very strict protocols in this area, which are added to the high level of protocolisation of its internal processes, under which it has demanding certifications such as the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard, the title of Lloyd's Register Approved Servide Supplier or the authorisation in category M1 as an installer of radio communications and radio navigation equipment by the Ministry of Public Works.

Thanks to these new additions, Toni will be able to focus mainly on quality control and auditing tasks, while the new professionals will be dedicated to the execution of the work supervised by the department management.

The new members of the Dahlberg Marine Electronics Technical Department are:

Santiago Fasson: an industrial engineer trained at the UIB, at 21 years old he has extensive knowledge of nautical matters, as well as being a great lover of the sea.

Diego Martínez: He is a telecommunications engineer. At 25 years of age, he has accumulated experience in field work in land communications in Cuba. He was recently seen at the Copa del Rey, working for Dahlberg on calibrations and installations on boats competing in the regatta.

David Milán: he is 25 years old and is part of the first class of graduates in the FP of Repair and Maintenance of Recreational Boats, to whose creation, curiously, Margarita Dahlberg contributed decisively through her work in the Association of Nautical Companies of the Balearic Islands (AENIB).

Paola Barona : 46-year-old industrial engineer whose role will be the coordination and control of project documentation and quality control.

By employing three engineers from different branches and a mid-level technician in Recreational Boat Repair and Maintenance, Dahlberg seeks to cover the entire spectrum of current electronics, thus broadening its service horizons for its customers.

The founder of Dahlberg, Swedish yacht captain Kjell Dahlberg, had already carried out a similar renovation in the 1980s, bringing in his daughter Margarita and Toni Lopera, young enthusiasts at the time who helped modernise the company. Decades later, history is repeating itself and Dahlberg is opening its doors to the new generations in order to adapt to the current times and prepare for the future, based on the know-how accumulated over the years.
